One Card A Day- Popular Single Tarot Card Readings For Divination

Rebecca Haynes

Sometimes the simplest things in life are often the best. This can be said also with Tarot Card readings, especially those that you perform for yourself.

One of the best ways to connect with your Tarot cards is to use them regularly. Like everything else in life, your intuition is strengthened if you use it regularly and pay attention to the answers it presents you. This doesn't mean that if you do not like the answers that you receive you put the card back and shuffle again (but I think we all do that from time to time- what can I say, the truth hurts!). If you do not use your intuition, or do not pay attention to the answers it provides, just like a muscle it will atrophy.

Being focused on only one card at a time makes this spread the perfect starting point for a beginner. It allows you to focus on the question at hand and offers you the opportunity to learn the cards more in depth as you only have to worry about one card at a time. And if you perform the single card spread daily, that's 365 days of practice each year!

This Single Card Tarot Reading is good for simple answers directed towards one question, such as "what do I need to know about x,y or z issue" or "what are my strengths" etc?

This type of Tarot Spread can lead you into performing further Single Card Tarot Spreads or more complex Tarot spreads. For instance, if the question is "what is holding me back from focusing and achieving my goals", the answer may then lead you to another question such as "what will help me overcome this situation?" Each question is performed as it's own simple one card spread. For each question, you simply hold the question in your mind's eye and focus while shuffling the cards, before drawing one card as your answer.

There is no right or wrong way to perform this type of spread. The only thing that you need to be sure of is that your questions are direct and you pay attention to the answers provided to you. It can, however, help to have a Tarot journal or notebook to write down your questions and answers (preferably write down your questions before you start so that you have them clearly in your mind).

This type of reading can be performed for yourself, or for another. It really is a versatile and simple tarot Spread!

We would love to hear if you have used this type of Tarot spread and your experiences with it. Let us know in the comments section- what is your favourite tarot spread?
