Within candle magic there is a thought that one should always let a candle burn all the way until it extinguishes itself naturally. If this is not possible, one should always extinguish a candle with a candle snuffer or by pinching it out.

Using a candle snuffer extinguishes the flame, producing little smoke. It is the smoke rising that sends the wishes/ intentions to the universe (which is why one should let it extinguish naturally and why, if your spell is not complete, you should not blow out the candle).

Aside from their practicality in candle spells, these candle snuffers also allow you to extinguish the flame without disturbing the candle wick, therefore keeping the wick straight and functioning properly.

The ideal altar piece, this black coloured candle snuffer has a long and elegant handle enabling you to reach even the deepest candles with ease.

How to Use

  • Gently place the hinged bell-shaped extinguishing cap over the candle flame, and watch as it effortlessly snuffs out the candle flame.
