Rudraksha is a sacred bead that is commonly used in the practice of making mala beads, also known as prayer beads or meditation beads, which are traditionally used in prayer or meditation practices in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. Rudraksha beads are made from the seeds of the Rudraksha tree, which is native to the Himalayan region of India, Nepal, and Indonesia.

In Hinduism, Rudraksha beads are considered to be sacred and are said to have spiritual and therapeutic benefits. The beads are believed to hold the energy of Lord Shiva, the Hindu God of Transformation, and are said to protect the wearer from negative energies. The Rudraksha mala is the most common mala used in Hinduism and is said to be the most powerful and protective.

Rudraksha beads are also believed to have healing properties and are said to help with anxiety, stress, and high blood pressure. They are also believed to help balance the chakras, or energy centers, in the body and to promote spiritual growth and inner peace.

This Beautiful Rudraksha Japa mala contains 108 Rudraksha beads,  plus one, which is called the "guru bead" or "sumeru" used as a tool for counting mantras, prayers, and prostrations.  It also has the "Aum symbol" charm at the top and a silk beige/light gold tassel at the base.
